Job description

How You'll Shape Our Success

At Technical Safety Services (TSS), protecting our people is essential to supporting the customers who depend on us. As Safety & Facilities Senior Specialist, you’ll own our safety programs and facilities functions across multiple locations, helping employees work safely and keeping our facilities compliant, efficient, and ready to support daily operations.

You’ll bring a practical approach to a distributed workforce, translating regulatory requirements into programs that work in the field. Your impact will include improving safety performance, controlling facilities costs, and keeping customer and regulatory compliance information current.

Your Day to Day Environment

This is a hands-on, senior-level individual contributor role with no direct reports. You’ll work closely with operations leaders, field teams, HR, and outside service providers to strengthen safety practices and address facilities needs across TSS.

Your work will combine program development, data analysis, training, site visits, and day-to-day problem-solving. The position reports to the Sourcing and Logistics Director and will require travel to company facilities and field locations. This is a fully remote position with required travel.

What You'll Take Ownership Of

Health & Safety

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

  • Establish inspection policies and schedules for routine inspections and site safety audits.

  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions. Maintain OSHA 300 and 300A records.

  • Develop and deliver new-hire safety orientation, ongoing training, and required recertification programs.

  • Partner with HR on workers’ compensation claims and related safety improvements.

  • Track and report safety performance, including EMR, TRIR, DART, and near misses. Use findings to strengthen hazard controls and reduce incidents.

  • Serve as the primary contact during regulatory inspections and coordinate documentation and responses.

  • Administer applicable programs for hazardous materials, waste, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tagout.

Facilities

  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and upkeep of company facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.

  • Manage vendors and contractors supporting janitorial services, HVAC, security, landscaping, and repairs.

  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules and manage facilities budgets and operating costs.

  • Evaluate space utilization and opportunities to consolidate or right-size facilities and leases.

  • Ensure facilities meet applicable accessibility, fire, building-code, and safety requirements.

  • Coordinate renovations, facility moves, and space-planning projects.

  • Maintain physical security, access control, and emergency preparedness and response plans.

Compliance & Records

  • Keep customer and third-party vendor-qualification portals accurate and current.

  • Complete customer requests for safety information, including questionnaires and requests for training and injury data.

  • Maintain training records, injury and insurance information, and safety-equipment testing documentation.

The base salary range for this full-time role is $75,000-$100,000 with a full benefits package. Our ranges are set by role, level, and location. Within that range, your pay will reflect your skills, experience, and education or training. Your recruiter can discuss compensation details during the hiring process.

  • 401(k) with company match.

  • Life insurance plus short- and long-term disability coverage.

  • Generous PTO and 10 company-paid holidays.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
