Job summary

Bosch USA in Roseville, CA seeks a Safety & Environmental Engineer to apply knowledge of safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental science to identify and resolve issues on site.

The role focuses on regulatory compliance, incident investigations, training, and managing the Respiratory Protection Program, with a base salary range of $80,000–$100,000 plus benefits. On-site, Monday–Friday, with potential for growth.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years experience at a manufacturing or industrial site in a position related to Safety/Environmental or Facilities is preferred.
• 2-4 years experience at manufacturing or industrial site in a position related to Safety/Environmental or Facilities is preferred and preferably have a current board certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist or Certified Safety Professional.
• Direct experience in CA is preferred.
• Understanding of Cal-OSHA regulations, International Fire Code, hazardous waste management, air quality & water discharge permits, building codes, mechanical codes, plumbing codes, hazardous material handling plans, and/or emergency response.
• Ability to interpret governmental/statutory regulations, policies and procedures and execute accordingly to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of Safety & Environmental regulations and procedures.
• Familiar with industrial hygiene monitoring methods and equipment.
• Understanding of basic safety management practices.
• Familiar with Federal and State hazardous waste management requirements.
• Understanding of air pollution abatement.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment and basic regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of chemicals and gases used in semiconductor processes.
• Establish effective working relationships with fellow Safety & Environmental Engineers and other site employees.
• Perform accident/incident investigations and provide recommended corrective actions.
• Manage the Respiratory Protection Program.
• Conduct Safety & Environmental training classes.
• Manage onsite Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Prepare environmental reporting to local, state, and federal agencies.
• Handle universal, recycling, and hazardous waste management.
