The primary purpose of the position is to provide expert professional safety and healthcare engineering consultation and evaluation to facility leadership, and supervision of employees within the Special Programs section of Engineering (Facility) Service, primarily focusing on Environment of Care.
This is an open continuous announcement, and will be open until filled.
Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Applicants must meet all requirements by 07/30/2025. Basic requirements include a degree in Professional Engineering or equivalent, with specific coursework or registration as a Professional Engineer, plus one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or higher.
Specialized experience includes managing data, conducting surveillance, investigating hazards, applying safety engineering principles, and training others.
Work is sedentary with occasional walking and carrying light items up to 25 pounds.
