Job summary

Lagan Construction, LLC is seeking a Safety Specialist to lead safety inspections and compliance efforts on airport infrastructure projects in the United States. The role involves conducting trainings, developing risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to OSHA standards across sites.

The successful candidate will have extensive safety experience in construction, OSHA credentials, and a proven ability to manage incident investigations and PPE programs.

Qualifications

• Proven verbal, written and oral communication abilities.
• Competent trainer with safety instruction delivery.
• Ability to identify and correct hazards in construction sites.
• OSHA 30-hour or equivalent (OSHA 500 or 510) certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED training.
• Ten years of construction safety experience (five years with a college degree).

Responsibilities

• Perform safety and health inspections and document findings.
• Timely completion and submission of daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Develop and deliver safety trainings, toolbox talks and briefings.
• Develop Activity Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments.
• Identify hazards and initiate corrective actions.
• Ensure site compliance with Site Specific Safety Plan, OSHA standards and EM385-1-1.
• Perform accident, incident, and near-miss investigations.
• Maintain PPE inventory and issue PPE to employees.
• Maintain safety communications and postings.
• Perform other duties as required.

• 8. Maintains inventory of personal protective equipment and first aid supplies. Issues PPE to employees
• 9. Maintains safety communications, postings, etc.
• 10. Other duties as required.
