Job summary

The Lemoine Company, LLC is seeking a Materials Handler / Inventory Specialist to support receiving, storage, tracking, movement, and distribution of materials for Program Services projects. Responsibilities include safely operating forklifts and related equipment, verifying deliveries against purchase orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with project teams to ensure material availability on schedule.

Safety-focused and organized candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in material handling, inventory control, warehousing, logistics, construction, manufacturing, or a related environment.
• Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to accurately complete inventory paperwork and maintain organized records.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with email, data entry, and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, delivery tickets, and material lists.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inventory discrepancies.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced project environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass applicable pre‑employment and project‑specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Load, unload, transport, stage, and store materials, tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Receive incoming deliveries and verify materials against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and delivery tickets.
• Inspect incoming materials for quantity, quality, damage, and accuracy.
• Properly secure, stack, label, and store materials in designated locations.
• Prepare, stage, and distribute materials according to project schedules and field-team requests.
• Assist with coordinating material deliveries, pickups, transfers, and returns.
• Maintain organized warehouse, laydown-yard, and material-storage areas.
• Perform routine pre-use inspections of assigned machinery and immediately report equipment defects or safety concerns.
• Follow manufacturer requirements, site rules, and established lifting and load-capacity procedures.
