Job summary

Avery Dennison in Oak Harbor, OH is seeking a Material Handler to move materials across the site, load/unload trucks, and maintain accurate inventory records. You will document movements in our Inventory Management System and support housekeeping and safety initiatives.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to follow written and oral instructions, and a strong focus on quality and safety. Candidates should be team players with dependability and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.
• Safety conscious with ability to model safe practices.
• Strong service and quality focus; identify root causes and educate team.

Responsibilities

• Move material to/from raw, WIP, Finishing, Receiving, and Manufacturing areas.
• Unload/load trucks/tankers with incoming/outgoing materials. Verify materials against documents.
• Document movement of material in Inventory Management System.
• Support inventory accuracy with cycle counts and discrepancy correction.
• Manage winding drum and rack inventories.
• Pick up and transfer racks, pallets, and consumables to/from production areas; maintain housekeeping.
• Perform tasks safely and follow procedures; report unsafe conditions.
• Work to improve quality and productivity; maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Assist in equipment maintenance as directed.
• Communicate information to appropriate departments for smooth operations.
• Lead recycling of pallets, cardboard, and scrap materials.
• Support 5S housekeeping activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
