Job summary

Interstate Waste Services is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to load, push, and transfer solid waste at the transfer station. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining efficiency while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as Equipment Operator.
• Experience in the sanitation industry is strongly preferred; English fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy duty equipment such as excavators and bucket loaders (yellow iron), and other small machinery.
• Routinely inspect equipment prior to operation and ensure safe operation.
• Move materials and manage transfer trailers to target load weights and smooth traffic flow.
• Repair machinery and replace parts as needed.
