Job summary

Interstate Waste Services is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for our transfer station. The role involves loading, pushing and transferring solid waste, operating excavators and bucket loaders, and maintaining efficient station operations in a fast-paced environment.

We offer full benefits after 30 days, weekly pay, 401K, three weeks of vacation, uniforms and safety gear, and a team-first culture. Candidates must be 18+, have at least two years of operator experience, and be fluent in English;

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as Equipment Operator.
• Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Fluency in English required; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and bucket loaders.
• Inspect equipment before operation and maintain safe working conditions.
• Follow hand signals and grading marks to perform duties safely.
• Move materials and load transfer trailers to target weights.
• Repair machinery and replace parts as needed.
