Job summary

Lexicon is seeking an experienced Maintenance Safety Leader to drive an extensive industrial safety program across maintenance, engineering, and contractor teams. You will develop strategy, enforce standards, oversee investigations, and push continuous improvement to reduce incidents and meet regulatory requirements.

The role requires 8+ years of EHS experience in heavy industrial environments, strong leadership, and advanced knowledge of safety systems, LOTO, NFPA standards, and process safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of EHS experience in heavy industrial settings; 3–5 years leading maintenance safety programs.
• CSP/CIH/CHST or similar certifications preferred; NFPA 70E knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the maintenance safety management system and related policies.
• Ensure OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and local regulations compliance and training.
• Oversee incident investigations and root-cause analysis; track corrective actions.
• Drive safety training for maintenance staff and contractors (LOTO, confined space, electrical safety).
• Coordinate safety metrics, audits, and reporting to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with operations, reliability, and procurement to integrate safety into planning.
• Manage contractor prequalification and safety enforcement on site.
• Champion near-miss reporting and safety culture improvements.
