Job summary

Spectrum Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator/Trainer for second shift (2nd shift) 3pm-12am in a warehouse environment. The role requires OSHA certification and a strong background in safety procedures and warehousing techniques.

You will train employees, maintain safety records, and ensure adherence to safety programs. The position emphasizes partnering with managers and frontline staff, solving safety issues, and implementing improvements across projects.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Trainer Course for General Industry required.
• Vocational Safety Accreditation required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• 3 years OSHA experience required.
• 2-3 years of warehouse experience required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Must be flexible, open-minded and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, etc.).
• Familiarity with quality management in warehouse management.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted safety partner of both managers, supervisors, and floor-level employees.
• Provide training to new hires and enable effective operation of the established safety systems.
• Initiate, document, and monitor corrective actions to adherence to safety programs.
• Gather information and generate required reports.
• Work with employees to resolve safety issues and improve working techniques.
• Build knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers.
• Solve a range of straightforward problems; analyze possible solutions using standard procedures.
• Identify and implement areas for improvement on a project to project basis.
• Maintain effective working relationships with employees throughout the warehouse(s).
• Ability to train others effectively on various safety and operational topics.
