Kent Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to promote a culture of incident-free safety across projects. You will collaborate with operations managers, superintendents, and field teams to implement safety programs and address injuries, property damage, or near misses.

The role emphasizes updating SOPs, leading trainings, conducting inspections, managing PPE, and developing site-specific safety plans with project teams. Kent offers competitive compensation and benefits across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Environmental Safety & Health, or 3-5 years of relevant construction safety experience.
• Certifications: OSHA 510, OSHA 30, CSMC, or Construction Safety Site Technician Certification (or equivalent).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without corporate sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update safety rules and SOPs and communicate changes to the field and safety team.
• Lead and participate in safety events, stand-downs, and training sessions.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and near misses with field personnel.
• Implement Toolbox Talks and develop talks based on incidents.
• Perform site inspections/audits and report to project team and safety manager.
• Assist Return-to-Work program with medical follow-ups and post-accident drug screening.
• Execute PPE program and ensure timely compliance.
• Develop, review, and enforce Site-Specific Safety Plans with project teams.
• Serve as resource for field team including superintendents, foremen, and crew leaders.
