Job summary

Safety Worxs is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to join the safety team on a large-scale data center construction project in Indiana. You’ll work alongside site leadership and the existing safety team to keep a fast-paced, high-visibility jobsite safe, compliant, and on schedule.

This long-term assignment includes full GSA per diem and 7 days a week coverage, with travel for a 12–14 month assignment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of construction safety experience.
• STS, STSC, or OSHA 500 certification.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 construction standards.
• Able to communicate with craft workers, subcontractors, and leadership.
• Willing to travel for a 12–14 month assignment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections and audits to ensure OSHA compliance and review safety plans.
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for craft workers and subcontractors.
• Review and enforce JHAs/AHAs, permits (hot work, confined space, excavation, energized work) and LOTO procedures.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; document findings and help implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, and reporting metrics.
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, and subcontractor safety reps to resolve field issues.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across all trades on site.

• Ability to work on an active construction site and travel for a 12 to 14 month assignment.

Preferred

• Data center or mission-critical construction experience.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
• Experience with electrical safety (NFPA 70E) and heavy equipment/crane operations.
