Job summary

Roofing Talent America LTD in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Safety Coordinator for a landmark commercial roofing project. You will own the Site Specific Safety Plan for two data center buildings, lead high hazard planning, and coordinate with senior stakeholders on safety standards.

Travel to the project site is required as you supervise the safety team and work alongside the Superintendent and Project Engineer to ensure OSHA, ANSI and NFPA compliance throughout the construction phase.

Qualifications

• Experience leading safety on commercial roofing or construction projects.
• Ability to perform risk assessments and safety planning in hazardous environments.
• Willingness to travel to the St. Louis, MO area and oversee on-site safety operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the Site Specific Safety Plan across two data center buildings.
• Lead high hazard planning, risk assessments and Activity Hazard Analyses.
• Oversee permits, pre task planning and site safety documentation.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Represent site safety with the GC, Superintendent, Project Engineer and senior stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, ANSI and NFPA standards.

Company Overview

This is an established commercial roofing contractor with more than 50 years of experience delivering large scale projects across the US.

The company works with major general contractors, developers and national clients across commercial and industrial construction, with a strong pipeline of complex projects.

The immediate focus is a major data center development near St. Louis consisting of 2 buildings and approximately 7,500 squares of roofing.

You will work alongside the Superintendent and Project Engineer as part of the core site leadership team, while receiving support and resources from senior leadership.
