Job summary

The Wonderful Company is seeking a Safety Coordinator to coordinate safety training and programs across all facility departments. You will monitor compliance records, conduct audits, and facilitate accident reporting to ensure safe work practices and security procedures on the plant floor.

Responsibilities include maintaining training programs, assisting in safety meetings and certifications, and supporting PPE selection. Fluency in Spanish and Cal-OSHA 30-hour certification are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to interact with all levels of employees and management.
• Lead safety committees or subcommittees.
• Computer literacy and software familiarity.
• Spanish language fluency in writing and speaking.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
• Cal-OSHA 30-hour certification.

Responsibilities

• Track training program and ensure compliance; assist in planning Safety Meetings and certifications.
• Enter accident and incident data into Enablon (EHS system) and assist in post-accident training.
• Maintain floor presence and respond to employee questions; support PPE selection and safety practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Safety Manager.

Job description

Provide a consistent presence in all areas of the facility to monitor and encourage safe work practices and security procedures. Conduct Safety, Loss Prevention, Food Defense audits and observations of employee work habits.
Compensation - $23.00 - $26.00. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.

Job Description

Compliance

• Conducts various audits and corrective action follow-up
• Conduct employee observations to identify unsafe work habits
• Conduct periodic safety and health walk-through inspections

Training

• Tracks the training program and ensures compliance.
• Assists in planning and conducting Safety Meetings and certifications

Accident and Incident Reporting

• Assembles accident and incident files including initial investigation.
• Enters accident and incident data into Enablon (EHS system)
• Assists in post-accident training.

Other Important Duties

• Maintain a presence on the floor and be available to answer employee questions and seek employee input related to Safety.
• Support plant personnel in selection of appropriate personal protection equipment teams
• Other duties as assigned by the Safety Manager.

Qualifications

• Fluent in writing/speaking in Spanish

Education & Experience

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Three years of related experience in Safety Department.
