Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Safety Coordinator for Raleigh, NC to champion an injury-free culture on our projects. You will onboard subcontractors, review safety plans, and lead safety meetings. Strong communication and bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly valued for coordinating with diverse teams.

The role requires OSHA 30/510 certification (within 3 years) and CPR/First Aid/AED current. You will maintain safety documentation, support investigations, and collaborate with client safety

Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and live DPR’s injury-free environment (IFE) culture.
  • Onboard subcontractors with safety plan and JHA and training requirements.
  • Coach project teams on safety leadership and management practices.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and audits.
  • Lead safety orientations for on-site employees and weekly mass safety meetings.
  • Assist with incident investigations and communicate results.
  • Interface with client safety representatives and maintain documentation.
  • Identify safety training needs and deliver targeted training.

The Safety Coordinator will work closely with all members of the project team, the Business Unit/Regional teams, and the EIG Regional Safety Manager . Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead and live DPR’s injury-free environment (IFE) culture.Conduct subcontractor project onboarding (pre-construction meetings, review site-specific safety plan and job hazard analysis (JHA), review training requirements, orientation).Coach project team members on safety leadership & management practices.Collect and review pre-task plans, provide feedback for improvement.Conduct daily documented safety inspections/audits via Predictive Solutions software.Assist/conduct safety orientations for all on-site employees.Conduct weekly mass safety meetings.Conduct incident investigations as needed.Interact with client safety representative.Maintain safety documentation.Identify safety training needs and provide safety training as appropriate .Required Skills and AbilitiesWe are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines.
