Job summary

Spectrum Staffing Services is seeking a Safety Coordinator/Trainer for our first shift (8am-5pm) in Powder Springs, GA. The role focuses on maintaining safety records, delivering training to new hires, and enforcing safety programs across warehouses.

The ideal candidate holds OSHA 10 for General Industry, a vocational safety accreditation or an associate degree, and 3 years of OSHA-related warehousing experience. Bilingual English/Spanish required to support diverse staff.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Trainer certification required for General Industry
• Associate degree preferred; safety accreditation required
• Minimum 3 years OSHA experience in warehousing
• 2–3 years warehouse experience in safety role
• Fluent in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Maintain training records, qualifications, and certifications for safety program
• Serve as safety partner to managers, supervisors, and floor staff
• Provide training to new hires and support safety system operations
• Document corrective actions and monitor adherence to safety programs
• Generate required reports and gather information for audits
• Collaborate with employees to resolve safety issues and improve practices
• Build knowledge of organization, processes, and customers
• Address problems using established procedures and analyze solutions
• Identify areas for project-level safety improvements
• Foster strong relationships across warehouse personnel

** SUMMARY**

We have an immediate need for a Safety Coordinator/Trainer with a high knowledge of safety procedures and warehousing techniques, who is OSHA Certified. This position is for first shift 8am-5pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain records of training, qualifications, certifications, etc., as they apply to the safety program
• Be a trusted safety partner of both managers, supervisors, and floor-level employees
• Provide training to new hires and enable effective operation of the established safety systems
• Initiate, document, and monitor corrective actions to adherence to safety programs
• Gather information and generate required and/or requested reports
• Work with employees to resolve safety issues and improve working techniquesBuild knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers
• Solve a range of straightforward problems; analyze possible solutions using standard procedures
• Identify and implement areas for improvement on a project to project basis
• Maintain effective working relationships with employees throughout the warehouse(s)
• Ability to train others effectively on various safety and operational topics

QUALIFICATIONS

• 0SHA 10 Trainer Course for General Industry Required
• Vocational Safety Accreditation Required; Associate's Degree Preferred
• 3 Years OSHA experience Required
• Must have minimum 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment
• Must be bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Must be flexible, open-minded and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Must be highly reliable
• Experience in the operation of and training others in use of Powered Industrial Vehicles such as order pickers, reach trucks, sit/stand up forklifts, swing reach
• Familiarity with quality management methodology and its application in warehouse management
