Job summary

Summary:

Responsible for directing, developing, and overseeing the general heath and safety policies and procedures of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the organization is in compliance with OSHA and other state, local, or industry specific regulations
• Provides programs that ensure a safe workplace including; safety orientations, skill training, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction, the use of protective equipment, and more
• Develops a systemic process to collect data and analyze the causes of accidents and generate reporting
• Coordinating, administering, and implementing comprehensive training programs in occupational, industrial, and environmental safety
• Implements initiatives to reduce and prevent accidents
• Conducts regularsafety audits
• Familiarity with an LMS system

Required Skills and Experience:

• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of safety and Operator Qualifications (OQ)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs, especially Excel & Word.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Keen attention to detail
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Flexible and adaptable regarding learning new tasks
