Job summary

Epcon Partners Inc. is seeking a Facility Safety Specialist to support a power generation project supplying a data center. You will lead safety on-site, ensure OSHA compliance, and coordinate with crews throughout construction, commissioning, and early operations.

Key duties include safety orientations, inspections, incident investigations, and maintaining records and permits for client and internal use. This role requires strong communication and the ability to work closely with field teams on

Qualifications

• Facility safety experience is required.

• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent; safety certifications a plus.
• Commitment to a 12–24 month project.

• Run safety orientations, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits; track and close out findings.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; document root causes and corrective actions.
• Partner with operations and construction on turbine, electrical, and high-energy hazard controls.
• Maintain safety records, permits, and reporting for client and internal use.

Facility Safety Specialist

Project Length: 12-24 months

Project Type: On-site power generation facility supplying a data center via gas-powered turbines

Overview

We’re looking for a Facility Safety Specialist to support a power generation project built to supply a new data center. The site runs gas-fired turbines to generate electricity, and you’ll be the point person for keeping crews, contractors, and operations safe throughout construction, commissioning, and early operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day safety on-site and enforce compliance with OSHA and client safety standards
• Run safety orientations, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses
• Conduct regular inspections and audits; track and close out findings
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, document root causes, and drive corrective actions
• Partner with operations and construction teams on turbine, electrical, and high-energy hazard controls
• Maintain safety records, permits, and reporting for client and internal use

Qualifications

• Facility safety experience required
• Energy, electricity, or power generation experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and site safety management
• Strong communication skills and comfort working alongside field crews
• OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain); safety certifications a plus
• Able to commit to a 1-2 year project
