Job summary

B&S Site Development LLC is seeking a Safety Coordinator to promote a safe construction site environment and enforce health and safety protocols across projects. You will support inspections, prepare reports, and assist in training programs to reduce incidents on site.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in safety roles within construction, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced setting. OSHA certifications are preferred and bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in safety roles within construction.
• OSHA 510 preferred; OSHA 30 Construction required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety inspections and weekly site safety audits to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
• Be present on a daily basis for morning and mid-day crew huddles.
• Help ensure employees and subcontractors follow health and safety guidelines and policies.
• Assist in incident reporting, investigations, and documenting near-misses with corrective actions.
• Organize and deliver safety training sessions on hazard recognition, PPE usage, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date safety meeting records, training logs, incident reports, and audits.
• Complete administrative duties related to audits, inspections, daily huddle reports, and jobsite requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings, near-miss programs, and toolbox talks to promote safety culture.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team in the site development industry. This position is ideal for someone passionate about promoting a safe work environment, eager to learn, and ready to grow within the health and safety field. The Safety Coordinator will help in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining safety protocols across various construction sites to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Safety Inspections:Conduct weekly site safety audits and inspections to find hazards, unsafe practices, or violations of safety regulations.
• Visibility: Be present and accounted for on a daily basis for both morning and mid-day crew huddles.
• Monitor Compliance:Help ensure that all employees and subcontractors are following health and safety guidelines and company safety policies.
• Incident Reporting and Investigation:Assist in reporting, investigating, and documenting incidents, near-misses, and workplace accidents. Help prepare reports and suggest corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide Safety Training Support:Assist in organizing and delivering safety training sessions for employees, including topics such as hazard recognition, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and emergency response procedures.
• Maintain Safety Documentation:Help keep up-to-date records of safety meetings, training logs, incident reports, and safety audits.
• Administrative Duties: Complete all required administrative obligations including but not limited to contractor and/or owner assigned audits, internal inspections, daily huddle reports, and all other administrative responsibilities applicable to jobsite requirements.
• Promote a Safety Culture:Actively take part in safety meetings, near‑miss program, and toolbox talks to promote a strong culture of safety awareness among workers and management. Support all other company initiatives.
• PPE Monitoring:Ensure proper use, availability, and condition of personal protective equipment on‑site. Aid in distributing PPE when necessary.

• Site Development Construction Experience Preferred
• Strong interest in health and safety practices within the construction industry.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety regulations.
• Effective communication and people skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred but not required.
• Ability to see and identify potential hazards.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast‑paced construction environment.
• The ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus.
