Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related field preferred.
• Leadership to foster safety culture and manage safety teams.
• CPR and First Aid training required.
• 2+ years of field construction safety experience.
• OSHA30 Certification required.
• Excellent communication to convey safety information to diverse audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and project management abilities.
• Interpersonal skills for collaborating with employees, contractors, and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments to identify hazards in the workplace.
• Perform safety inspections and audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, documenting root causes and corrective actions.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
• Monitor safety equipment and PPE, and procure updates as needed.
• Maintain documentation of inspections, trainings, and incidents.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and advise leadership on actions needed.
• Communicate safety policies across all levels and foster a safety culture.
• Collaborate with HR, facilities, operations, and external agencies.
• Identify opportunities for continuous safety improvements.
• Oversee hazardous material handling, storage, and disposal as required.
• Perform other duties as required by leadership.
