Job summary

Intermountain Rigging and Heavyhaul is seeking a Safety Specialist to implement and maintain our EHS program across field and facility operations. You will lead risk assessments, train staff, and oversee incident management, audits, and regulatory compliance to ensure a safe work environment.

This role requires a BS or equivalent, OSHA 30, and leadership experience in construction or crane-heavy industries, with strong communication and data analysis skills; SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency

Qualifications

• BS Degree or equivalent work experience and knowledge in the industry.
• OSHA 30, Train-the-Trainer Forklift and Rigging.
• Environmental health and safety management experience in heavy construction.
• Minimum of three years in a leadership capacity with proven safety program experience.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other office software.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development and implementation of EHS programs and policies.
• Advise and coach team on safety protocols, programs, policies and training.
• Lead reduction of safety and health risk exposure with hazard analysis and controls.
• Support event management including incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Conduct site safety audits and review contractor safety performance.
• Prepare and maintain health and safety plans for customers.
• Respond to safety, health, and environmental complaints and OSHA compliance.
