Job summary

Horizon Behavioral Health is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee inspections for ICF homes in the Lynchburg area. You will document deficiencies and coordinate with team members to ensure a safe environment for clients, staff, and visitors.

The role reports to the Health and Safety Officer to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations. Ideal candidates hold a safety-related certificate or associate degree, with at least one year of safety experience.

Qualifications

• Certificate or associate’s degree in occupational safety & health or a related field.
• 1 year of experience in occupational safety or safety program administration.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly, monthly, and annual inspections of ICF homes.
• Document deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code and CMS disaster preparedness requirements.
• Collaborate with housing managers to maintain safety standards.
• Report findings to Horizon Health & Safety Officer and maintain records.
