OSF HealthCare is seeking a Safety Companion to provide continuous observation of patients and maintain their safety. This role performs light patient care tasks and documents information in the patient record, collaborating with the care team to ensure high-quality care.

The position requires CPR-BLS within 90 days of onboarding, a High School Diploma or GED preferred, and about 1 year of service industry experience. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Licensure/ Certification: CPR - BLS (within 90 days of onboarding)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Responsabilités

• Provide continuous observation of assigned patients to maintain their safety.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed (repositioning, ambulation, bathing, feeding).
• Document information in the patient record and communicate effectively with the care team.

Expected pay for this position is $17.66 - $19.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Safety Companion provides continuous, attentive observation of assigned patients to maintain their safety. This role performs light patient care tasks, which may include repositioning, ambulation assistance, bathing, feeding, and other activities of daily living. The Safety Companion documents relevant information in the patient record and communicates effectively with the care team to promote seamless, high-quality care. Responsibilities may vary based on departmental needs and the specific support required for patients of all age groups, contributing to each patient’s comfort and well-being.

Qualifications
