Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Safety Companion who will provide continuous, attentive observation of assigned patients to maintain safety and promote comfort. Qualifications

• CPR-BLS certification required within 90 days of onboarding.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; solid computer skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous observation of assigned patients to ensure safety.
• Assist with basic patient care tasks: repositioning, ambulation, bathing, feeding.
• Document relevant information in the patient record.
• Communicate effectively with the care team to promote high-quality care.
