Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety programs and cultivate a proactive safety culture at our Pflugerville location in Texas. You will drive audits, investigations, and risk assessments while delivering effective training to protect associates and improve productivity.

As the safety champion, you’ll build relationships, influence change, and help Amazon maintain its commitment to being Earth’s Safest Place to Work.

Qualifications

• High school-equivalent required.
• 1 year EHS experience OR bachelor’s in EHS; 6 months in Amazon safety role.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience with Word and Excel.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in security matters.
• Strong communication, teamwork, analysis and customer focus.
• Experience leading a team and performing job hazard analyses.
• Emergency response experience; First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Experience in workers' compensation case management.
