Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to lead safety programs, audits, and training at our Union City, GA site. You will turn safety data into actionable improvements and champion a culture where safety and productivity go hand in hand.

The role requires 1 year in an EHS-related field or a bachelor’s degree, OSHA 29 CFR 1910 knowledge, and proficiency with Word/Excel. Flex shifts, weekend work, and CPR/First Aid certification requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field or related experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1910 is required.
• Experience with MS Word and Excel in a professional setting is required.
• First Aid/CPR certification is preferred or must be obtained within 3 weeks of start.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs through data-driven strategies, audits, and incident investigations.
• Develop safety training programs to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Advise and advocate for associate wellbeing and safety at all organizational levels.
• Translate safety data into actionable improvements and report findings to leadership.
• Support emergency response and maintain confidentiality in safety-related matters.
