Job Summary

The Safety Attendant provides one-on-one observation of selected patients to identify behaviors that could be hazardous to self or others, in accordance with facility policies and procedures. They report needs and concerns to a licensed nurse.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: De-Escalation Techniques, Life Support Responder, and MOAB Training (all within 90 days of employment or after training completion), required.
  • Skills: Ability to complete skills validation and competency testing, knowledge of infection control and patient safety guidelines, ability to work with all age groups, and basic computer skills for documentation.
