Job Summary

Novant Health is seeking a Safety Attendant to provide one-on-one observation of selected patients for the purpose of identifying behaviors which are potentially hazardous to self or others in accordance with facility policies and procedures; reports needs and concerns to licensed nurse.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time.
• Foster teamwork, team member engagement, and community involvement.
• Support a safe patient environment driven by the principles of "First Do No Harm".

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• De-Escalation Techniques, Life Support Responder, and MOAB Training required within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to complete skills validation, knowledge of infection control, body substance precautions, patient safety, and body mechanics.
• Ability to work with all age groups or act as a companion, and basic computer skills for documentation.
