Job summary

MACI in Michigan is seeking a safety-focused professional to support safety activities, manage workers’ compensation claims from start to finish, and help with general safety duties. You will review accidents, perform audits, and implement fixes to reduce workplace risks.

A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is required. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience with safety programs, OSHA records, accident reports, workers’ compensation claims, or return-to-work plans preferred.
  • Good communication, organization, problem-solving, and computer skills required.
  • Must handle private information with care.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily safety activities and help reduce workplace risks.
  • Complete safety checks, audits, job reviews, and ergonomic reviews.
  • Review accidents, near misses, and safety concerns. Help find the cause and recommend fixes.
  • Keep safety records, training records, incident logs, and safety reports up to date.
  • Manage the Massotherapy program, including scheduling, communication, and early support.
  • Handle workers’ compensation claims from start to finish, including filing, tracking, and follow-up.
  • Work with injured associates, medical providers, supervisors, Human Resources, and claim partners.
  • Help with return-to-work plans and modified duty when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
