Job summary

Michigan Automotive Compressor, Inc. (MACI) is seeking a maintenance technician with PLC, ladder logic, CNC, and robotics experience to repair and maintain manufacturing equipment. The role emphasizes Kaizen and teamwork within the maintenance and production teams.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, with a Journeyperson card or five years of related experience. Training in trade schools or college programs is desirable, and the position is on-site with a focus on quality

Responsibilities

• Repair down machines and other machine maintenance as necessary.
• Kaizen activities to prevent reoccurrence of machine breakdowns.
• Assist with Quality Circle activities within the maintenance teams.
• Assist production when required.

Educational Background

Required-

• High School Diploma or GED
• Journeyperson card or five (5) years documented related experience in the trade

Desired-

• Formal training at a recognized trade school
• College or machine/equipment maker
• Experience in all areas of machine maintenance

Work Experience

Required-

• Industrial background with knowledge of PLC's
• Understands and able to modify ladder logic for trouble shooting and Kaizen
• CNC experience
• Working knowledge of AC/DC circuits
• Robotics experience
• Mechanical abilities

Desired-

• Willingness to do both electrical and mechanical work
• Team player who will help team achieve their goals

Duties & Responsibilities

Schedule (8-hour Shifts)

• 1st or 2nd (NOT AVAILABLE FOR NEW HIRES CURRENTLY)
• 3rd 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• 5-day work week
• Limited weekend OT
• Volunteer OT available
