Confidential Company in San Francisco seeks a Safety Management professional to lead the safety program for personnel, vehicles, and facilities. You will develop, implement, and monitor policies, training, and compliance across DOT, FTA, OSHA, and ADA requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in safety management, transit or fleet operations, with supervisory responsibilities. Excellent communication, analytical skills, and the ability to coach and enforce safety standards are essential

Qualificações

• 5–10 years progressive experience in safety management, preferably in transit or fleet operations.
• Deep knowledge of transit safety systems and DOT/FTA/OSHA/ADA regulations.
• Certified in CPR/First Aid and drug & alcohol awareness programs.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate accident trends and prevent recurrences.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in safety management systems and MS Office.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies for personnel, vehicles, and facilities.
• Lead safety training: orientation, defensive driving, CPR/First Aid, drug/alcohol awareness.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and support claims.
• Coach supervisors and trainers; reinforce safety and service expectations.
• Perform on-road driver evaluations and analyze safety data for improvements.
• Coordinate fleet and facility safety inspections and SDS documentation.
• Administer drug/alcohol programs and workers' compensation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, programs, and protocols for personnel, vehicles, and facilities.
• Lead all safety and compliance training: new hire orientation, defensive driving, CPR/First Aid, drug & alcohol awareness, equipment operation, emergency response.
• Manage accident/incident investigations, root cause analysis, claims support, and corrective actions.
• Supervise the performance of supervisors, trainers, and administrative staff; coach and reinforce safety/customer service expectations.
• Conduct on-road driver evaluations, monitor performance, analyze safety data and trends to drive improvements.
• Coordinate fleet and facility safety inspections, equipment maintenance, and safety equipment compliance (including SDS documentation).
• Administer drug & alcohol programs, manage worker's compensation processes, and ensure adherence to regulations (DOT, FTA, OSHA, ADA, etc.)

Qualifications & Skills

• 5-10 years progressive experience in safety management, preferably in transit or fleet operations, with supervisory responsibilities.
• In-depth knowledge of transit safety systems, policies, and regulations (DOT, FTA, OSHA, ADA, NLRA, FLSA, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in driver training and certified in CPR/First Aid and drug & alcohol awareness programs.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate accident trends and implement preventative measures.
• Excellent oral and written communication, leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook; PowerPoint a plus) and safety management systems.
