Position: Safety and Security Officer

We are seeking a full-time Safety and Security Officer.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least three (3) years of experience as a security officer and/or certification from a security officer training program.
• Ability to effectively handle disruptive patients or visitors.
• Complete operational knowledge of the medical center with the ability to direct patients or visitors appropriately.
• Effective interpersonal skills to deal with people effectively.
• Ability to anticipate problems and use preventive interventions.
• CPR certified.

Work Schedule: Flexible hours totaling at least 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, excluding lunch. Work hours and days may be adjusted based on operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol building, parking lot, and grounds to ensure security and prevent damage or loss.
• Assist in maintaining a positive work environment, managing disruptive individuals, and assisting staff and patients as needed.
• Promote GPHA’s vision and mission to staff, patients, and the community.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient, client, and employee information.
• Provide security services at other facilities if required, especially during incidents that threaten safety or security.
