As the Safety and Security Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, clients, and guests. This position is expected to function effectively with little supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify and mitigate safety and security risks across the organization;
• Respond to incident reports involving safety and security concerns for staff, clients and guests;
• Will develop short term solutions, but will conduct root cause analyses and make recommendations to mitigate unnecessary risks to the organization;
• Assist leaders with developing and implementing safety plans proactively;
• Manage third party security personnel;
• Educate and train staff on various safety and security policies;
• Draft and revise safety and security policies as needed;
• Provide safety and security risk assessments as needed;
• Facilitate third party safety and security trainings and drills;
• Serve on crisis management team;
• Complete other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, criminal justice, or related field preferred or equivalent experience;
• At least five (5) years of experience in a similar role with experience in safety, security, compliance, and/or risk management;
• Critical thinking, excellent communication and analytical skills, crisis management and/or disaster relief experience;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Demonstrated self-reliance and personal initiative and the highest level of personal integrity;
• Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
• Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany;
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage;
• Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
• Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
