Qualifications

Location: 800 W Montgomery Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19122

A hybrid work schedule (1 day remote) may be available for PA residents after six months. You will be required to be in the office 5 days a week for the first six months.

Safety and Administration Specialist
Responsibilities
  1. Assist department management team with preparation of various forms, reports, documents, and correspondences.
  2. Schedule meetings, conferences, and business trips.
  3. Coordinate vendor services; establish positive relationships with vendors and other contacts.
  4. Maintain accurate electronic and manual files of required and historical documentation of departmental activities.
  5. Assist in the research and development of special reports, analysis, and presentation of information to support departmental operations.
  6. Perform accounting functions including processing vendor invoices and assisting in budget reporting.
  7. Coordinate programs and events, including tracking employee injuries and conducting safety training.
  8. Provide administrative support for Corporate Safety, including gathering statistics for reports.
  9. Audit company facilities for safety concerns and inspect specified areas for safety equipment.
  10. Work with the Medical Department to identify ergonomic needs for employees.
  11. Prepare purchase requisitions and vouchers for safety equipment and materials.
  12. Participate in company safety goal-setting activities and develop action plans.
  13. Prepare drafts of safety-related news articles and bulletins.
  14. Provide administrative support for the Company Safety Awards Contest.
  15. Act as lead Accountability Coordinator for emergency evacuations.
  16. Perform other special projects and assignments as requested.
Qualifications

Specialist I

High School Diploma/GED with certification in Safety or related field; associate degree preferred. 2-3 years’ relevant work experience with workplace safety issues.

Specialist II & Sr.

Bachelor’s Degree with certification in Safety or related field; associate degree with relevant experience. 3-5 years’ relevant work experience with workplace safety issues. Certifications such as Certified Office Ergonomics Evaluator, OSHA 10- and 30-hour, and HAZWOPER 40-hour are preferred.

Sr Specialist

5-8 years’ relevant experience with workplace safety issues. Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or higher Certification is required. Must have strong work ethic, communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
