Job summary

LG Home Appliance Factory in Clarksville, TN, seeks a Safety Engineer to ensure compliance with life safety codes and fire prevention programs. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or safety and 3-5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining compliance with national and local life safety codes.
• Perform regular inspection of safety & fire prevention compliance.

• Perform audits for Lock Out Tag Out and other safety measures.
• Incident management including first aid and reporting.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements

Ability in analyzing, troubleshooting and evaluating problems

Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Job description

Annual Salary starting at $70,000

Shift: Days 7am-4pm Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining compliance with national and local life safety codes
• Perform regular inspection of safety & fire prevention compliance
• Develop and maintain site specific safety / fire prevention programs to ensure compliance
• Perform audits for Lock Out Tag Out, Job Hazardous Analysis, Machine Safe Guarding, Construction Safety etc.
• Assist and maintain compliance that is consistent with the requirements of ISO 45001
• Incident management (First aid response, accident investigation and incident reporting)
• Assist with Worker's Compensation Management and Reporting
• Assist with fire equipment and facility inspections as needed

Education Level and/or Relevant Experience

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in engineering or Safety
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Safety and/or Fire Prevention certifications preferred

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong understanding of production of complex equipment and system integration
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements that includes but not limited to manufacturing and 6 Sigma Lean manufacturing
• Ability/Experience in using strong skills in analyzing, troubleshooting and evaluating problems
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing; including machine capabilities and efficiencies, etc.
