The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction safety, a degree in Safety or related fields, and OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification, with experience representing owners on projects.

SMG seeks a local Safety Advisor - Owner's Rep in the Indianapolis, IN area.

The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client's needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change.

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

• Provide project safety support on behalf of the Owner and the Owner's representative
• Coach and influence the safe execution of procedures and work plans
• Support the project with safety management services to support a safe work environment
• Serve as a safety resource to Client and Contractor stakeholders

Requirements

• 10+ years of construction safety experience
• A degree in Safety or related fields is preferred
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course
• Experience representing owners on a project

Physical Demands of the job may include:

• Moving long distances
• Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
• Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
• Working in extreme weather
• Being exposed to loud noises
