Job summary

Safety Management Group is seeking a local Safety Advisor – Construction in Lebanon, Indiana, for a day shift. The role focuses on site safety observations, hazard analyses, and reporting in a construction setting.

The candidate will create safety reports, run metrics, and ensure compliance with policies, while supporting orientations and incident management for this year-long project.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of construction safety experience.
• BSCP cert preferred (CSP, CHST, STSC, etc.).
• A degree in safety or related field is preferred.
• First-aid/CPR certification from ARC or AHA.
• OSHA 30-hr Construction

Responsibilities

• Site safety observations, including documentation of findings.
• Must be able to create reports, run safety metrics, and use other software programs.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analysis.
• Represent the contractor in progress meetings.
• Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, and contractors.
• Conduct New Hire Orientations and safety meetings.
• Provide incident management and support.
• Documentation and report preparation.
• Conducts Contractor program reviews.

SMG seeks a local Safety Advisor – Construction in Lebanon, Indiana – Day Shift

The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment.

Additional Information

• SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.
• Per Diem is available for non-local candidates only. Per diem is $980/week for this project.
• This projects anticpated duration is up to a year. Anticipated schedule is Mon-Saturday, up to 10 hours per day. Schedule could change.
• $400 Road Warrior Benefit each month.
• Annual pay/merit review/increase.

Physical Demands of the job may include

• Moving about long distances
• Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders

• Wearing personal protective gear correctly
