Job summary

Safety Management Group, LLC seeks a Safety Advisor – Construction for our Insights Team in Central Indiana. The role requires conducting site safety observations, audits, and program development while traveling to client sites across Indiana.

The position emphasizes safety training, program reviews, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and client policies. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in construction safety and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Four plus years of construction safety experience.
• A degree in safety or related fields is preferred.
• CSP, CHST, STS-C are preferred but not required.
• Experience reviewing safety programs and providing training/site audits.

Responsibilities

• Site safety observations and documentation of findings.
• Safety program review and development.
• Visit construction clients to perform site audits and assessments.
• Provide training to client personnel.
• Administer Safety Partner Program for multiple clients.
• Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law.

SMG seeks a Safety Advisor – Construction for our Insights Team - in Central Indiana.

The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment.

This person will travel to different client sites throughout the state of Indiana.

Overview of Job Responsibilities

• Site safety observations, including documentation of findings
• Safety program review/development
• Visit Construction clients to perform site audits and assessments
• Provide training
• Administer Safety Partner Program to multiple clients
• Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, and contractors
• Provides incident management and support
• Documentation and Report preparation

Requirements

• Four plus years of construction safety experience
• A degree in safety or related fields is preferred
• CSP, CHST, STS-C is preferred but not required
• Experience reviewing safety programs
• Experience providing training and site audits
• First-aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
• OSHA 30-hr Construction
• OSHA 510 preferred

Additional Information

• SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.
• Eligible to receive all SMG Benefits.
• Annual pay/merit review/increase.
