Job summary

PMS is seeking a coordinator to support implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Safety and Accreditation Programs across the organization. Working with site leadership and the Quality Department, this role identifies risks, conducts readiness activities, and monitors corrective actions to sustain compliance.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree with related experience or an equivalent combination, strong computer skills, and familiarity with EHRs and safety in healthcare

Qualifications

• Education and/or healthcare/safety experience required as stated.
• Computer skills including spreadsheets, report production, and databases.
• EHR experience preferred and safety experience in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission ambulatory and PCMH standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Safety and Accreditation Programs.
• Identify safety, regulatory, and accreditation risks proactively.
• Conduct readiness and compliance activities and monitor corrective actions.
• Provide education and technical assistance to staff and leadership.

JOB CATEGORY: ADMINISTRATION / SAFETY / ACCREDITATION / QUALITY

POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the organization's Safety and Accreditation Programs. Working collaboratively with site leadership and organizational stakeholders under the direction of Quality Department leadership, this position serves as an operational resource for continuous accreditation readiness by proactively identifying safety, regulatory, and accreditation risks; conducting readiness and compliance activities; monitoring corrective actions and compliance trends; providing education and technical assistance; and helping maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, visitors, and others throughout the organization.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree plus one year related experience; OR high school diploma / GED plus a combination of five years of education and/or experience in healthcare and/or safety.
• Computer experience required including proficiency in spreadsheets, report production and databases.
• Electronic Health Records (E.H.R.) experience preferred.
• Safety experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of The Joint Commission Ambulatory and Behavioral Health (PCMH) standards preferred.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:

• May be required to use personal transportation to carry out job duties.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Must provide a current motor vehicle record.
• Must provide current personal owner liability automobile insurance and must maintain the insurance coverage throughout
  the course of employment in this position.
• Must submit to a motor vehicle record check on an as needed basis and maintain a satisfactory driving record that is within the limitations of PMS Human Resources Policy II.D.3, Automobile Usage, and applicable state and federal laws.
• Must comply with PMS Policies on Automobile Usage, II.D.3, Drug Free Workplace, III.H and applicable state and federal laws.
• May be required to complete transportation related trainings.
