Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Suffolk, VA is seeking a full-time Safety Coordinator to lead construction safety programs on commercial electrical projects. You will conduct site inspections, coordinate with foremen, run safety meetings, provide first aid where needed, and ensure compliance with company and client safety policies.

Some travel may be required. The role requires OSHA-30, HS Diploma, and 1 year of electrical experience, with strong emphasis on hazard recognition and

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year commercial electrical experience in a related position.
• HS Diploma/GED.
• OSHA-30 Certification.
• Successfully pass pre-employment background and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Ensures implementation of all IES and Client safety activities.
• Conducts frequent jobsite inspections, ensures corrective action taken to correct deficiencies.
• Works with foreman in planning how to perform non-routine job tasks safely.
