Job summary

Health Imperatives Inc. in Brockton, MA is seeking a SAFEPLAN Advocate to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Under supervision, you will provide legal advocacy, safety planning, and referrals to community resources to help clients access services. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services, trauma-informed care understanding, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services.
• Trauma-informed care experience preferred.
• Experience with crisis intervention regarding homelessness, mental health, or substance use.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Applicants who are bilingual are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advocacy to victims of domestic and sexual violence.
• Assist victims with safety planning.
• Explain legal processes and assist victims in obtaining restraining and harassment orders.
• Participate in clinical supervision.
• Provide supportive referrals to access resources and services.
• Maintain up-to-date client files and statistical data.
• Any other duties as assigned.
