City of North Las Vegas is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Program Specialist to support indoor and outdoor parks and recreation activities. Under supervision, you will help run diverse programs and engage participants of all ages.
This role includes variable hours, no health benefits, and requires readiness to work weekends and seasonal peaks. A positive, physically active approach and basic first aid readiness are valued.

Under direct supervision, independently carries out programs for both indoor and outdoor parks and recreation activities. Works directly with program participants in a physically active recreation program environment. Recreation program assignments are varied and may include early childhood, aquatics, golf course, sports (adult and youth), class instruction, seniors, mobile recreation, special events, safekey (before and after school – elementary youth), and day camp.
The selection process may include any combination of written, performance, and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The City reserves the right to modify selection devices and test instruments in accordance with accepted legal, ethical, and professional standards.
