Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Safeguards and Security Specialist Energy to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN. You will serve as the security representative for the assigned facility, oversee access control, and liaise with Isotek operations to ensure safe, compliant daily activities. The role requires a high school diploma, three years of safeguards experience, and knowledge of DOE physical security.

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain required certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in security-related field preferred.
• Requires three years experience in safeguards and security preferred.
• Must be familiar with DOE Order in physical security.
• Protective Force experience preferred.
• Experience with Performance Testing preferred.
• Ability to obtain PMC-410, PMC-420DE, VAC-200 certifications.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DOE access authorization.

• Supports tours, demonstrations, and visitor access to facility.
• Performs escort duties as required.
• Supports ISMS principles and Isotek safety culture.

Overview

We are seeking a Safeguards and Security Specialist Energy, to join our Team in our Oak Ridge, TN office.

Your role

- Stops work without fear of reprisal for unsafe conditions potentially affecting personnel safety or environmental risk.
- Serves as Safeguards and Security representative for assigned facility.
- Oversees access control functions and entry requirements for designated facility.
- Provides functional interface with Isotek Operations and Maintenance personnel in daily operations.
- Services as on-scene support of Special Nuclear Material movements.
- Assists Isotek Performance Testing with limited notice, no notice, and scheduled performance tests of Isotek programs contained in approved performance testing plans.
- Serves as Lock and Key Custodian for the facility.
- Supports tours, demonstrations, and visitor access to facility.
- Performs escort duties as required.
- Supports the execution of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) guiding principles and core functions of the Isotek Safety Culture.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

About you

- Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Associate’s degree in security-reklatred field preferred.
- Requires three (3) years experience in safeguards and Security preferred.
- Must be familiar with DOE Order in physical security.
- Protective Force experience preferred.
- Performance Testing experience preferred.
- Ability to lift 90-100 pounds.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain National Training Center PMC-410, Fundamentals of Performance Testing.
- Ability to obtain National Training Center PMC-420DE, Physical Systems of Overview.
- Abiliyt to obtain National Training Center VAC-200, Vulnerability Assessment Fundamentals.
- Ability to obtain Human Reliability Program certification and DOE “Q” access authoorization.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a federal background investigation and must meet eligibility. requirements for access to classified information or matter.
- Applicants must have Real ID compliant identification to access the work location.
- U.S. citizenship required for AtkinsRéalis/Isotek Systems Project positions.
- Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $65,000 - $109,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
