Job summary

Georgia Fugees Academy Charter School (GFACS), part of Fugees Family, Inc., is seeking a School Bus Driver to support 6th-12th grade students from Atlanta. The role entails safely operating a 72-passenger bus, maintaining schedules, and assisting passengers, including those with special needs.

Minimum CDL with P and S endorsements and a clean 5-year record are required. The position is 10-month, non-exempt, with benefits during the school year.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of proven work experience as a school bus driver.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years.
• Ability to drive a 72-passenger bus.
• Must hold CDL with P and S endorsements.
• High school diploma required.
• Citizen, resident or US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the bus and ensure passenger safety on the road.
• Collect passengers at stops and transport to destinations with assistance as needed.
• Maintain schedules and adjust routes to stay on time.
• Keep bus clean and report maintenance needs.
• Comply with regulations for driving a commercial vehicle and school policies.
• Maintain driving activity records and incident logs.
• Act in emergencies to ensure passenger safety and contact emergency services.
