Job summary

Utopian Academy for the Arts Charter School Network in Ellenwood, GA seeks a School Bus Driver dedicated to safe student transportation and dependable service on regular and special routes. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Georgia CDL with Passenger and School Bus permit
• Annual Safety Renewal Education Program (SREP) recertification
• Successful completion of annual physical and agility testing
• Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
• 1 year of work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Transports passengers over scheduled routes to and from school and field trips safely
• Loads and unloads passengers safely during regular transport and emergencies
• Attends meetings and trainings to gather information for job functions
• Assesses incidents and emergencies to resolve or escalate as needed
• Performs basic first-aid and safety practices as required
• Cleans assigned vehicles and maintains sanitation
• Conducts emergency evacuation drills as required
• Fuels and maintains the vehicle in safe operating condition
• Monitors students during transit for safety
• Prepares various reports documenting activities and routing information
• Reports observations/incidents to appropriate personnel
• Responds to inquiries from students, parents, and staff
• Assists with food or device distribution while wearing PPE when instructed
