Job summary

Twelve is seeking a Manager of Plant Operations to oversee the first SAF plant in Moses Lake, WA, with travel to Berkeley and potential future relocations. You will manage production, maintenance, and safety, while driving continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing plant operations and budgets in a chemical plant.
• Experience creating processes from scratch and working in a startup.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies or disruptions in plant operations.
• Extensive experience in hydrocarbon, jet fuel production or Fischer Tropsch.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards; relevant training.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create policies, procedures and processes for the first Twelve SAF plant and oversee operations, maintenance, reliability, safety and quality.
• Manage plant budget, set production targets and allocate resources for safety, performance and financial health.
• Monitor safety and performance metrics; implement optimization solutions.
• Lead safety culture with meetings, audits and emergency response coordination.
• Stay updated on trends, technologies and regulations to keep practices sustainable and compliant.
• Recruit, hire and develop plant staff; foster a productive work environment.
• Collaborate with departments, suppliers and stakeholders to align operations with company goals.
