Job summary

Mittera Philadelphia LLC is seeking a dependable Bindery Operator to join our finishing team. You will read job tickets, set up and run Mueller/ Martini or Heidelberg saddle stitchers, and perform routine maintenance with safety as a priority.

Ideal candidates have 1–3+ years in bindery, strong math skills, and the ability to work under deadlines while coordinating with other operators and supervisors.

Qualifications

• 1 – 3+ years bindery experience required.
• Experience operating Mueller & Martini or Heidelberg saddle stitchers preferred.
• Ability to read job tickets, layout sheets and artwork precisely.
• Basic math and measurement skills are needed for setup and quality checks.
• Good communication and teamwork across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate saddle stitcher and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read tickets and specifications before starting each job.
• Make-ready and run all aspects of the saddle stitcher.
• Fill in for other operators and assist start-ups when needed.
• Promote safety and participate in training and process improvement.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Communicate issues to supervisors and help prioritize fixes.
• Maintain clean work areas and support downtime clean-up.
