Job summary

Mittera Philadelphia LLC is seeking a Bindery Operator to run stitcher/trimmers, cutters, folders and other finishing equipment at our Philadelphia facility. You will read job tickets, set up machines and maintain quality while meeting deadlines.

The role requires 3–5+ years of binder operator experience, strong math and communication skills, and a commitment to safe, organized workmanship in a full-time setting.

Qualifications

• Reading work instructions and business memos.
• Effective communications with all levels within the organization.
• Basic math skills for measurements and problem solving.
• Organized and able to plan, prioritize and follow through with minimal supervision.
• Must be self-motivated, reliable, quality- and safety-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate bindery finishing machines to assemble saddle stitched and trimmed booklets.
• Jogs and cuts paper and board stock to required sizes and trims finished products.
• Fold sheets into folders or signatures using folding machines.
• Operate bindery equipment and related tools per job tickets and specifications.
• Maintain quality control to meet job requirements and deadlines.
• Record quantities and materials used on job tickets and time sheets.
