Job summary

Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church seeks a detail-oriented Wedding Coordinator to assist engaged couples and clergy in planning and executing wedding liturgies. The coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for rehearsals and ceremonies, ensuring reverence, order, and compliance with liturgical norms.

The role involves coordinating logistics, timelines, seating, décor, and communications with clergy, musicians, and staff, with a focus on hospitality and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Experience coordinating events, weddings, or liturgical celebrations preferred.
• Familiarity with Catholic wedding liturgy and church practices strongly preferred.
• Must support the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Ability to move throughout the church and stand for extended periods.
• Completion of background screening and any required diocesan training.

Responsibilities

• Supports and upholds the teachings, traditions, and liturgical norms of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Insures all weddings are conducted in accordance with parish policies and Archdiocesan guidelines.
• Works respectfully and collaboratively with clergy, parish staff, musicians, and liturgical ministers.
• Serves as the parish liaison for wedding logistics, timelines, and church procedures.
• Reviews parish wedding guidelines with couples and answers questions related to the ceremony.
• Coordinates seating, processional order, church décor, and liturgical setup.
• Confirms logistics with musicians, altar servers, photographers, and videographers as needed.
• Conducts rehearsals in a calm, organized, pastoral manner.
