Job summary

Wabanaki Public Health and Wellness (WPHW) is seeking a part-time Water Quality Coordinator to support the Sacred Relations Division, focusing on distributing water in the Sipayik Community.

The role may involve transporting water and refilling water jugs as needed. The position reports to the Food Systems Manager and starts at $20.73 per hour, with potential for higher pay based on shift and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Tribal Communities.
• Valid Maine driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, public speaking and listening skills.
• Ability to lift and carry fifty pounds.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate water drop-offs with partner organizations such as Good Shepherd Food Bank.
• Schedule distribution of water to community members.
• Collaborate with Tribal Leadership on water policies and procedures.
• Drive to pickup empty jugs and refill them at the pump house.
• Refill water jugs for elders and people with disabilities when needed.
• Work independently and as part of a team when required.
• Stay well organized and adept at problem solving.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
